LOTRO is now officially just over one year old. How have you guys at Turbine been celebrating the Anniversary?
We did a Welcome Back weekend - we had thousands of people come back. Basically, anybody who had an account for LOTRO on the first year could come back and play for a long weekend of free play. We saw a huge flux of people check it out again.
Things all come to a head with LOTRO Book 14 so we would imagine you have got some pretty huge updates planned?
We are doing some interesting things we have not done before for Book 14 - I do not want to talk about it too much yet, but we are utilizing our live event system much more than we ever have to date, and there is also some dynamically triggered things happening in the game that have been put into Book 14. There is also the start of the wind up to the end of the Epic Story for Volume 1 so we can move into Moria for Volume 2. |
